Asha Forsyth is a China-Australia trade and diplomacy specialist, with almost a decade experience working and studying in China. Her roles, including General Manager of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in South China and Foreign Affairs Manager of Kingold Group, have facilitated cross-cultural relations and understanding. During this time she’s worked with Ban Ki-moon and met President Xi Jinping.
Asha is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, building on a childhood in Taiwan with studies in language and political science at the University of Sydney and Shanghai’s Fudan University. She has maintained an active focus on Sino-Australia relations through her work with The Australia-China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI) and The Australia China Youth Association (ACYA).
In her spare time, Asha sails on Sydney’s Pittwater and has crossed the Pacific Ocean on a 48ft yacht.
